If the Cash Drawer is connected through a Receipt Printer, select the same Port as that of the Receipt Printer. The printer must be installed in the Windows operating system. Use the Direct to Windows Printer Port option to select the printer as it is identified by Windows (to send the Drawer Open Codes directly to the Cash Drawer through the Receipt Printer bypassing the Windows Printer Driver).
If the Cash Drawer is connected directly to a Serial Port (COM1, COM2, etc.), select the Port and press [Enter]. Enter the required Serial Port settings (Baud Rate, Parity, DataBits, StopBits, and Options supplied by the Cash Drawer manufacturer).
Note: For Cash Drawers that require power from the Port (and not get power from an attached power supply), enable the Keep Port Open Cash Drawer setting to make power available through the port.
