Transaction Dataport parameters include the following Checkpoints which control the exporting and/or importing of data at specific stages of a sales transaction:

When Customer is Selected:
Exports and/or Imports after a customer is selected from the [F8] - Enter Customer screen.

When Contact is Selected:
Exports and/or Imports after a contact is selected using [Ctrl]+[F6] from the [F8] - Enter Customer screen.

When Exiting Customer Entry:
Exports and/or Imports after a customer is selected from the [F8] - Enter Customer screen and either [Ok] or [F10] have been selected.

At Each Line Item Entry:
Exports and/or Imports after a line item is selected.

When Entering the Complete Sale Box:
Exports and/or Imports after all line items have been entered and either [Enter] or [F10] have been selected to move to the Complete Sale Screen. This Checkpoint comes after the Transaction Type is set (and possibly changed i.e. - On Hold to Sales Invoice).

When Entering Payment Area:
Exports and/or Imports after all line items have been entered and either [Enter] or [F10] have been selected to move to the Payment Screen.

After Entering a Payment:
Exports and/or Imports after a payment has been entered.

When Entering the Print Box:
Exports and/or Imports after payments have been entered and either [Ok] or [F10] have been selected to move to the Print Buttons Box (Invoice, Receipt, Save, etc.)

After Transaction is Saved:
Exports each time a transaction is saved, which includes adding, editing, recalling, or creating one transaction from another (e.g. Invoices from Sales Orders).

When Transaction is Cleared:
Exports each time the [Changes to the Current Transaction will be Lost] message is displayed and the Clerk selects "Ok" to proceed. If this message is disabled (by enabling the [Disable Transaction Warning] parameter in the Configuration Manager - Global Parameters) then this Checkpoint is not used.

Directory:
The Directory parameter is the location of the files relative to the current Data Folder. If the Directory is set to INFO and the data is located in C:\Keystroke\Data, then the Export and Import files will be in the C:\Keystroke\Data\Info folder. The full path to the folder is also supported (e.g. C:\Info or \Info).

Export File Name:
Default is TRN&M.KFO where &M is the Keystroke assigned Machine Number. (The file TRN2.KFO will be created on Machine Number 2).

Import File Name:
Default is TRN&M.KFI where &M is the Keystroke assigned Machine Number. (The file TRN3.KFI will be created on Machine Number 3).

Wait Time:
Default is 2 seconds. The number of seconds before Keystroke displays a message stating that it is searching for the import file. The Clerk cannot cancel the search until after the message has been displayed. Entering a negative number waits that number of seconds and then automatically cancels the search without displaying the message. Note: The Wait Time feature is also available on Dataport Scripts.

Note: Sales entry in Keystroke may be slowed down, depending on the purpose for which Dataport Checkpoint parameters are enabled (i.e. to allow third party Keystroke Extension Program data processing, especially when enabling the Import function for the At Each Line Item Entry Checkpoint).
