The Dataport Script calls the Dataport function (Export and/or Import) in Sales Manager.
The Dataport Script settings include the Export File button and Import File button which are used to specify the full path and name of the Dataport export file (.KFO) and Dataport import file (.KFI) to be used. If these settings are left blank, Keystroke will use the settings from the Transaction Dataport Parameters.
When a Dataport Script is run and the Script's Export Transaction parameter is enabled, Keystroke will place a copy of the current transaction into the specified Export File.
When a Dataport Script is run and the Script's Import Transaction parameter is enabled, Keystroke will update the current transaction with the data in the specified Import File.
If the Import File is not found, Keystroke will wait for the file to be available for the number of seconds specified by the Wait Time (sec): parameter (which supports partial seconds entered as decimals). If the Wait Time is set to 0, Keystroke does not import any data if the file is not found. If the file is not found after the Wait Time, Keystroke displays a message stating so and prompts the Clerk to either continue waiting or continue without importing. If the Wait Time is a negative number and the file is not found in the specified number of seconds, Keystroke stops waiting for the file and continues without importing data and without displaying the message (Clerk prompt).
