To enter a Variance Item Comment, which is a Comment attached to a specific line item on the Variance screen (as opposed to a Variance Comment which is attached to the Variance transaction as a whole), select the item for which the Comment is to be entered and press [Shift]+[Enter] to display the Line Item Comment screen.
Enter the Comment information and press [F10] to save.
