The X For Pricing Applies to All Line Item Entry Parameter extends the X For discounted price to all quantities of the item beyond required X quantity.
If X For Pricing Applies to All is enabled, the X For discounted price is extended.
If X For Pricing Applies to All is disabled, the X For discounted price applies only to the multiples of the required X quantity of the item.
For example, if the item is priced at $0.45 each and 3 for $1.00, and 4 are entered on a sales transaction screen:
- With the parameter enabled, the price is $0.3333 for each of the 4 items.
- With the parameter disabled, the price is $0.3333 each for the first 3 items but $0.45 for the 4th item.
Note: if the parameter is disabled and the item is entered on a single line with a quantity of 4, the price is still 3 for $1.00 plus $0.45 for the 4th item. The price is displayed on the transaction screen as a combination of the two prices (4 * $0.3625 = $1.45).
To enable this parameter:
- Select Parameters from the Sales Manager Transaction Menu.
- Select Line Items.
- Select X For Pricing Applies to All on the Line Item Entry Parameters screen.
- Use the mouse or the [Space Bar] to turn the parameter ON or OFF.
- Select [OK] or press [F10] to save.
