The Warn If Price Is Below Cost Line Item Entry Parameter warns the Clerk that the Price of an item on the sales transaction screen has been changed to an amount that is less than its Cost (resulting in a negative profit).
When Warn If Price Is Below Cost is enabled and the Price of an item on a transaction is changed to an amount that is lower than its Cost, Keystroke displays the "Price is less than cost!" warning message. Select [Ok] or press [F10] to accept the changed/lower Price. Select [Cancel] or press [Esc] to reject the lower Price.
To enable this parameter:
- Select Parameters from the Sales Manager Transaction Menu.
- Select Line Items.
- Select Warn If Price Is Below Cost on the Line Item Entry Parameters screen.
- Use the mouse or the [Space Bar] to turn the parameter ON or OFF.
- Select [OK] or press [F10] to save.
