The Scan Serial Numbers Line Item Entry Parameter enables serial number barcode scanning on sales transactions.
When Scan Serial Numbers is enabled and a Serialized item is entered on a sales transaction, Keystroke displays the Scan Serial Number screen into which the serial number barcode may be scanned. If the quantity of the Serialized item is greater than 1, Keystroke continues to prompt for Serial Numbers until the required number have been scanned or entered. The Scan Serial Number screen box shows the number of items to be scanned and which one is currently being scanned. If the Serial Number barcode scan does not match any of the numbers listed for the Serialized item, Keystroke displays the "Serial Number Not Found!" message.
The [F9] key may be pressed to toggle back to the Serial Number Lookup List to select serial numbers from the list if necessary.
To enable this parameter:
- Select Parameters from the Sales Manager Transaction Menu.
- Select Line Items.
- Select Scan Serial Numbers on the Line Item Entry Parameters screen.
- Use the mouse or the [Space Bar] to turn the parameter ON or OFF.
- Select [OK] or press [F10] to save.
