The Round XFor Prices Line Item Entry Parameter Rounds XFor Prices to the nearest penny.
If Round XFor Prices is enabled, line items with fractional prices (decimal values past one cent) created for XFor (or Mix and Match) pricing are rounded to the nearest penny by adjusting some up and others down.
For example if an item has a "3 for $1" XFor price and the item is listed on 3 separate lines, all with a quantity of 1, then instead of each price being $0.3333, Keystroke rounds the first two items to $0.33 and the last one to $0.34. This rounding is required for the numbers on the receipts and reports to match.
If Round XFor Prices is disabled, the items in the example above are priced at $0.3333 (which is displayed as $0.33) and the receipt shows three items at $0.33 and a Sub-Total of $1.00 (even though 3 @ $0.33 is $0.99).
Another example is for an item with a "3 for $5" XFor price. The receipts/reports show:
If enabled: $1.67, $1.67, $1.66 = $5.00
If disabled $1.67, $1.67, $1.67 = $5.00
The "(when possible)" part applies to line items with a quantity that is not equal to 1. Keystroke may need to use fractional prices in order to make the totals work correctly (e.g. if there is only a single line item with a qty of 3, Keystroke needs to use the fractional price to have the total be an even amount). Also, if one of these line items has a quantity of 1, it will be used to make up any amount lost with the rounding. In most cases, it will only be plus or minus a penny. However, if there are items with large quantities, then this adjustment can be a lot more.
