The Lock On Item Not Found Line Item Entry Parameter helps prevent incorrect item entry on the sales transaction screen.
When Lock On Item Not Found is enabled and an item is entered but not found in the Inventory Database, Keystroke displays the "***Scan was not Accepted*** - Press the Escape key [Esc] to Continue" message. The [Esc] key must be pressed to clear the message. If the current Clerk has the security to enter Non-Inventory items, the "Item Not Found - Proceed With Non-Inventory Item?" message is displayed.
To enable this parameter:
- Select Parameters from the Sales Manager Transaction Menu.
- Select Line Items.
- Select Lock On Item Not Found on the Line Item Entry Parameters screen.
- Use the mouse or the [Space Bar] to turn the parameter ON or OFF.
- Select [OK] or press [F10] to save.
