Capture Signature- Capture a customer's signature from a Signature Capture Device.

Skip if Amount Under- Skip the Signature Capture only if the amount of the Payment is under a specified amount.

To set up an External Device Authorization Method:

-Select Authorization Methods from the Configuration Manager Tables Menu, select [Add New Method], enter an appropriate name for the method.

-Set the Type to External Device and select [Ok] to save.

- Select the desired width to be displayed, the default is 30.

- Select the desired options for this method.

- Select [Ok] to save.

Note: When the External Device Authorization Method Type settings are saved a warning message is displayed reminding the Clerk that this type of authorization does not send any of the payment information out to any other service. It is the Clerk's responsibility to ensure that the payment has been authorized, processed, captured, or verified correctly through whatever method they are currently using.
