Keystroke Point of Sale Help

Configuration Manager - Menus - Hardware - Cash Drawer - Monitor Drawer Status

Some Cash Drawers are able to communicate (to the computer) that they are open or closed. When properly configured, Keystroke displays the DRAWER IS OPEN message when the drawer is open. When combined with the Run with Drawer Open General Security Level, Keystroke can be set to wait until the drawer is closed before continuing, which may help deter employee theft. Once the drawer is closed the message disappears and the next sales transaction may be entered.

Note: If for any reason the drawer status is not received, Keystroke will continue without displaying the Drawer is Open message.

Memory Location - Where in memory to look for the Drawer Status information.

Test Codes - Another way of checking the Drawer status.

Bit Mask - The bit where the Drawer Status information is stored.
