The Var column on the Variance Transaction screen displays the difference between the QOH column and the Phys column: Var = Phys - QOH.
If the physical count is greater than the QOH, the Variance amount is a positive number (there are more units of the item in stock than the Inventory record indicates).
If the physical count is less than the QOH, the Variance amount is a negative number (there are fewer units of the item in stock than the Inventory record indicates).
The items on the Variance Transaction screen may be sorted by Variance Quantity. Navigate to the Var column and press [Shift]+[F2] to sort by Variance Quantity.
