The Archive Sales Transaction Type stores completed copies of other original sales transaction types.
For example:
- When you fill a Sales Order, Keystroke automatically converts the Order to a Sale Invoice and deletes the original Sales Order
- It saves a copy of the Sales Order as an Archive transaction.
- The Archive copy will show the original Amount Remaining to be paid.
- The original Payments will appear in the Payments Tendered list along with a transfer Payment moving the Amount tendered to the new Sales Invoice.
Archives commonly provide the following functionality:
- Does not post to General Ledger.
- Does not allow Credit Payments.
- Does not require Minimum Payments.
- Does not update any Inventory or Customer information.
- Does not convert to any other Transaction Type.
