Sales Manager - Line Item Detail - Salesperson

The Line Item Detail - Salesperson field displays the Salesperson assigned to the item.

To edit the Salesperson, press [Ins] and select the desired Salesperson from the Clerk Lookup List. Editing the Salesperson on the Line Item Detail screen changes the Salesperson for the current line item on the current sales transaction only.

Note: A Salesperson is a Clerk. Keystroke uses the term Salesperson when attributing sales, assigning commissions, and reporting sales.

The most common reason to edit the Line Item Detail - Salesperson field is if Salespeople work for commissions, a Clerk rings up the sale, and some (but not all) of the line items on the transaction should be assigned to the Salesperson.

If a Salesperson is not assigned to the line item AND a Salesperson is assigned to the current Customer or Contact, Keystroke assigns that Salesperson to the entire transaction.

If no Salesperson is assigned to the Customer or Contact, Keystroke assigns the entire transaction to the current Clerk (The current Clerk is the Salesperson unless another Clerk is assigned as the Salesperson either to the current Customer or Contact or to a specific line item).
