Keystroke Point of Sale Help

Database Manager - Inventory Database - Main Screen - Sale Qty

The Sale Qty field controls the default quantity entered on Sales Transactions. For most items, the Sale Qty should be 1.

Sale Qty can be increased if an item is normally sold in a specific multiple quantity. For example, if brake pad kits are normally sold two at a time, the Sale Qty for brake pad kits should be set to 2. If a Customer wanted just one kit, the Quantity can be manually changed on the Sales Transaction.

A negative number may be used in Sale Qty for Inventory items that represent coupons or refunds.

For Inventory items that represent coupons, set the item price to the value of the coupon and set the Sale Qty to -1. For Inventory items that represent refunds that are paid out regularly (such as deposits on returned containers or returned core deposits), set the item price to the value of the refund and set the Sale Qty to -1.
