Database Manager - Department Database - Main Screen - NonSale

Inventory items in Departments marked as NonSale are tracked in a separate sales total (referred to as NonSaleTotal) and may be excluded from totals in reports by enabling the Exclude NonSale Items setting in the Inventory Database and Sales Analysis reports.

The cost of these items is not included in sales cost totals (referred to as CostTotal) nor is it used for profit calculations.

NonSaleTotal is included in the Misc total on the Sales Transaction Line Item Entry Screen. On the Complete Sale Screen, if the NonSaleTotal is not 0.00 it is displayed below the Discount fields (or the SubTotal fields if Discount is not displayed). If the NonSaleTotal is 0.00, it is not displayed.

Note: NonSale is similar to what is sometimes referred to as a Hash Department in Cash registers.
