Configuration Manager - Menus - Tables - Price - Price Table Example

An office supply store divides its Customers into three groups (Walk-ins, Preferred, and Institutional). Each group pays a different Price for office furniture. Office furniture has been setup as Price Code F.

Walk-ins:
Get no discount on office furniture.
Their Prices come from the default Price Table (*).
It does not include a Price Formula for the Price Code F.
Without a Price Formula, the Walk-ins pay the Base Price.

Preferred:
Get a 15% discount on office furniture.
Their prices come from the Price Table P (Preferred).
It includes a Price Formula for Price Code F.
The formula gives them a 15% discount from Base Price.

Institutional:
Get a 25% discount on office furniture.
Their prices come from by the Price Table I (Institutional).
It includes a Price Formula for Price Code F.
The formula gives them a 25% discount from Base Price.

Here is a different way to view the Price Tables:

Customer / Discount / Price Table / Price Formula

Walk-in / None / Default / No formula for Price Code F
Preferred / 15% / Preferred / 15% discount for Price Code F
Institutional / 25% / Institutional / 25% discount for Price Code F
