Configuration Manager - Menus - Tables - Commission - Commission Table Example

A store pays its Clerks Commissions for the sale of stereos and other electronic products and a Clerk's Commission depends on his or her monthly sales volume. So commissions are based on the Salesperson Report time frame.

Example:
Stereos = Commission Code S
All Sales:
A clerk receives at least 10% for all applicable items based on a formula that sets the base Commission of 10% for all sales of items with Commission Code S.

$2,000 to $5,000
A clerk receives 15% for sales of applicable items above $2,000 based on a formula that sets the second-level Commission of 5% for sales above $2,000 for items with Commission Code S. When this 5% is added to the formula for the base Commission (10% for all sales of items with Commission Code S), and the result is 10% below $2,000 and 15% above $2,000.

Over $5,000
A clerk receives 20% for all sales of applicable items above $5,000 based on a formula that sets the third-level Commission of 5% for sales above $5,000 for items with Commission Code S, plus the Formula for the second-level Commission (5% for sales above $2,000 for items with Commission Code S), plus the Formula for the base Commission (10% for all sales of items with Commission Code S) and the result is 10% below $2,000, 15% above $2,000, and 20% above $5,000.

Here is a different way to view the Commission Tables:

Sales Volume / Commission / Commission Formula(s)

Up to $2,000 / 10% / 10% for all sales

$2,000 to $5,000 / 15% / 10% for all sales and 5% more for sales above $2000

Over $5,000 / 20% / 10% for all sales and 5% more for sales above $2000 and 5% more for sales above $5,000
