When Enabled: dates are displayed and input in European date format (DD/MM/YY) instead of Standard U.S. date format (MM/DD/YY).
For example:
January 31, 2018 is displayed as 31/01/18 or, if the Text Date Format parameter is also enabled, is displayed as 31Jan'18.
If 31/01/18 is entered, it is recognized as January 31, 2018.
If 01/31/18 is entered, it is attempted to be read as a European-format date and is interpreted differently.
When Disabled: dates are displayed and input in U.S. format.
For example:
January 31, 2018 is displayed as 01/31/18 or if the Text Date Format parameter is also enabled, is displayed as Jan3118.
If 31/01/18 is entered, it is attempted to be read as a U.S.-format date and interpreted differently.
If 01/31/18 is entered, it is recognized as January 31, 2018.
To enable Day/Month Date Format:
- Select Parameters from the Configuration Manager Settings menu.
- Select Day/Month Date Format with the mouse or press [Spacebar] to mark it with an X.
Note: The Day/Month Date Format parameter option is not the standard way to display or represent dates in the United States. Do not enable this parameter unless intending to use the Day/Month format.
Note: Stand-alone utilities are affected by this parameter (i.e. DELTRANS.EXE TYPE=PO START=06/01/18 would start deleting Purchase Orders from January 6th, 2018 if this parameter were enabled).
