The Phone Fields Search on Numbers Only parameter enables the the ability to look up Customers and Vendors by typing their phone numbers without having to enter parenthesis "()" or hyphen "-" characters.
To enable Phone Fields Search on Numbers Only:
- Select Database from the Configuration Manager Settings menu.
- Select Phone Fields Search on Numbers Only with the [Spacebar] or mouse click to mark it with an X.
When enabled, phone numbers may be searched without having to enter parenthesis or hyphen characters. Note: Requires the Customer, Contact, and Vendor databases to be Packed.
When disabled, phone number searches require an exact match including parenthesis and hyphen characters.
