A Reverse Production is used to break a Production Item down to its Component Items reducing the quantity of the Production Item and increasing the quantities of the Component Items.
On the Production Item Template screen, select the Production Item to be broken down.
Enter the Qty To Make as a negative number.
For example:
To break down 5 units of a Production Item, enter -5.
Adjust the Item Template Parameters as needed and select Ok.
On the Inventory Production screen the Component Items display:
- The Need column as negative numbers.
- The Total Cost of a single Production Item unit as a positive number.
- The Total Cost of all the Production Items as a negative number.
- After entering all the Component Items and their quantities, press [Enter] and select the Save Production button to complete the Reverse Production.
