Using the Keystroke Price Calculator

The Price Calculator provides a quick way to change a Price (in Sales) or a Cost (in Purchasing) by adding or subtracting either a dollar amount or a percentage to or from the current value.

To use the Price Calculator:

- Navigate to the line item's Price or Cost column and press [Ins] to display the Price or Cost list.
- Select a Price or Cost from the list.
- Press [Ins] again to display the Price Calculator.
- Enter the appropriate values and make any necessary changes.
- Press [Enter] to exit the Price Calculator with the calculated value.
- The Price Calculator performs the calculation and copies the value into the line item's Price or Cost column.

For example:
To take 10% from $100: [100] - [10] % = [90]
To add $5 to $20: [20] + [5] $ = [25]

- Use the [Tab] key to navigate between fields and/or operators.
- The first field displays the value selected from the Price or Cost list.
- It is followed by the - or + operator.
- Use the [Space] key to toggle between the two operators.
- In the second field, enter the value to be added or subtracted.
- It is followed by the % or $ sign.
- Use the [Space] key to toggle between the two signs.
- The last field contains the new calculated value.
