Configuration Manager - Menus - Tables - Tax - Tax Table Example

A construction material supplier divides its customers into two groups (Retail and Wholesale). Each group pays a different Tax on taxable merchandise. Taxable merchandise has been set up as Tax Code T.

Retail:
Pay a sales tax of 8.75%.
Their Taxes come from the State/Local Tax Table's State Tax District contained in Tax Table S.
It includes a Tax Formula for the T Tax Code.
The formula sets a tax of 8.75% on taxable merchandise.

Wholesale:
Pay no sales tax.
Their Taxes come from the Resale/Wholesale Tax Table's Resale Tax District contained in Tax Table W.
It includes a Tax Formula for the T Tax Code.
The formula sets a tax of 0% on taxable merchandise.

Customer / Tax / Tax Table / Tax District / Tax Formula

Retail / 8.75% / S-State/Local / State Tax / 8.75% tax for Tax Code T
Wholesale / None / W-Resale/Wholesale / Resale Tax / 0% tax for Tax Code T
