The In-Line Calculator is available in nearly all numeric fields and can quickly add, subtract, multiply, divide, increase by percentage, decrease by percentage, and calculate a value based on a margin amount.
To use the In-Line Calculator:
Navigate to the field in which the calculation is to be performed.
Enter the operator(s).
Enter the amount.
Press [Enter].
The result of the calculation is displayed in the field.
In-Line Calculator Operators
* Multiply
Multiply the number in the field by the amount entered.
For example:
Current value in field is 12.
Enter *5.
Press [Enter].
Result is 60.
/ Divide
Divide the number in the field by the amount entered.
For example:
Current value in field is 64.
Enter /4.
Press [Enter].
Result is 16.
+ Add
Add the amount entered to the number in the field.
For example:
Current value in field is 19.
Enter +8.
Press [Enter].
Result is 27.
+- Subtract
Subtract the amount entered to the number in the field.
For example:
Current value in field is 112.
Enter +-15.
Press [Enter].
Result is 97.
NOTE: The "+-" combination operator is required since the "-" by itself represents a negative value.
p Percentage
Add or subtract a percentage from the number in the field.
For example:
Current value in field is 19.
Enter +30p. (the "p" following the number entered is required)
Press [Enter].
Result is 32.5.
M Margin
Change the value of the number currently in the field by a margin percentage.
For example:
Current value in field is 1.50.
Enter M40. (the "M" preceding the number entered is required)
Press [Enter].
Result is 2.50.
