The Keystroke POS system combines a user-friendly interface with exceptional speed and flexibility to provide a powerful, yet affordable automated management system.  Keystroke POS excels in the areas of streamlined transaction entry and the ability to quickly locate information through robust reporting and lookup functions.

The system includes many features typically found only in high-priced proprietary systems.  Keystroke POS captures complete transaction details at the "Point Of Sale". Custom Modules are specialized optional add-on features for the Keystroke POS system. Custom Modules are not stand-alone products and require the base Keystroke system (Evaluation, Single-User, or Network System) for operation.

User Guide

The Keystroke POS User Guide documentation files are provided on the Keystroke installation CD in Adobe PDF format and are all fully printable. The PDF format is a widely used option for delivering electronic documents and offers benefits such as the ability to search for key words or phrases, the ability to print multiple copies of pertinent sections as needed, and the ability to access documentation conveniently. A practical guide for new users is currently in development.

Keystroke POS Base Systems

The Keystroke POS base system software includes: point of sale functions, purchasing, inventory control, customer tracking, accounts receivable, barcode label printing, extensive reporting capabilities, support for most POS-related hardware and sample data files.

A variety of Custom Modules and integration/utility programs are also available to add unique capabilities and to custom-fit the system to the needs of nearly any business.

Comprehensive User Guide documentation files in Adobe PDF format and 90 days toll-free Software Maintenance Service (with technical support) are included with all Single-User and Network systems (Evaluation system includes only on-line documentation).

Keystroke POS vs Keystroke Classic

The FREE Evaluation System

The FREE Evaluation system is available for anyone wishing to review, test or demonstrate the capabilities of the Keystroke POS system before buying. It includes the complete, unabridged on-line documentation in Adobe PDF format.

All features of the base system are fully operational; however, it is limited in the number of transactions it can save, and the Custom Modules are limited in various ways. The included sample data files may be used or unique user-generated data may be entered (Inventory, Customers, Vendors, etc.).  About 200 transactions (sales, purchase orders, etc.) can be saved.

When it is determined that Keystroke POS is the right system for the business, any data already entered in the Evaluation system can be retained upon the purchase of a licensed Single-User or Network system.  With the assistance of a local Registered Keystroke POS Dealer, the licensed system can be installed in just a few minutes (excluding networking, peripheral hardware, and advanced configuration options) right over the Evaluation system.

The Single-User System

The Keystroke POS Single-User system is licensed for a single business location requiring a single point of sale register running on a stand-alone computer with a single cash drawer or till. The Single-User system can be used on a networked computer; however, this system can be used on only one machine at a time. The Single-User system can be easily upgraded to the Network system.

The Network System

The Keystroke POS Network system is for a single business location requiring multiple point of sale registers and/or cash drawers and is licensed by the number of concurrent users. For example, The 3-User Network system can be used to operate up to three computers/registers simultaneously.  While the program can be running and ready for use on four or more networked machines, persons can be "logged in" and actually using Keystroke POS on only three of those machines at any one time. Additional User Licenses can be purchased as needed. A Net bios-compatible local area network (LAN) operating system (e.g., Novell NetWare) is required for multiple workstations.

Licensing Information

A separate copy of the Keystroke POS software (Single-User or Network system) must be purchased for each business location. For licensing questions, please call SBS or consult with your local Authorized Keystroke POS Dealer.

Windows Version

Keystroke POS is a true 32-bit Widows application, requiring Windows 98SE/ME or NT/2000/XP/2003Server/Vista operating systems. 

Customizable Toolbars:

On-screen macro-style buttons provide easy access to frequently used functions and save time handling repetitive tasks. Create your own custom buttons and toolbars or select from the standard set provided with Keystroke POS for Windows.

Automatic Font Size Adjustment:

Font sizes are automatically adjusted as the Keystroke program window is resized, providing larger and more readable text, even on smaller POS workstation monitors.

Added Security:

A new full-screen mode can be used to prevent employees from accessing other programs.

Full Mouse Support:

Without sacrificing keyboard functionality, full mouse support is available throughout the system. Right-click to access Quick Search lookups; Left-click to select items, menu functions and custom toolbar buttons.

Unabridged On-Line Documentation:

Comprehensive documentation is included on the program CD in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. With built-in hyperlinks from the Table Of Contents and Index, the on-line User Guide and Custom Modules & Advanced Features documents provide fast access to details about all program features (required Adobe Acrobat Reader is included).

New and Improved Help Screens:

Keystroke Help Screens have been greatly improved and are now based on the MS Windows Help Engine.
