Keystroke POS was originally developed in 1987, for a
computer store in Jackson Hole, Wyoming which was owned and operated by Specialized
Business Solutions company President, Michael Gebb.
Michael found a need in his retail business for a comprehensive, effective inventory
control and point of sale system. A computer store's operations should, after all, be
automated by a computerized business control system. After searching for and testing the
systems that were available at the time, he decided none of them performed to his
expectations. It was then that Keystroke POS was
conceptualized, developed, and subsequently marketed by Specialized Business Solutions.
Specialized Business Solutions was founded and incorporated in June of 1988 by
Michael Gebb and Dana Bargell in Long Beach, California.
In 1995, SBS expanded when Dana Bargell and David Hunsinger opened the new
Dillon, Colorado sales and marketing office. The Long Beach location is still
the research and program development office.
Keystroke POS is Specialized Business Solutions'
main product. The system is being improved, enhanced and tested on a daily
basis by the Development Team. The Technical Support Services team provides
top notch technical support, where over 99% of callers speak to a live
Technical Support Specialist (not a receptionist or a recording) AND 98% of
all support issues are closed on the same day. Most calls are resolved
within 5 minutes.
Keystroke POS has been marketed by Specialized Business
Solutions since 1988 as:
"A computerized retail management system created by a
retail owner, for the retail manager, with the customer and salesperson in mind".
