Keystroke POS software is developed and published exclusively by
Specialized Business Solutions (SBS). SBS sells Keystroke
software only through registered Dealers and does not sell Keystroke directly to end-users.
Wholesale pricing for Keystroke POS is available only to approved professionals
whose primary business is providing computer hardware, software, and related consulting services.
This includes POS system dealers, cash register dealers, system integrators, VARs, and CPAs.
In the best interest of our Keystroke end-users and Dealers,
SBS maintains a strict Dealer approval policy. We believe the services of a local Dealer
are a necessary component in the automation of most businesses. In addition, these polices help to protect
the Dealer's ability to sustain long term profits in this business. Our Dealers are our partners
- NOTour competitors.
The Keystroke POSDealer Program is a four-step system based on commitment,
training, and experience. The four successive levels of dealership are: Registered,
Authorized, Active, Preferred, and Premier.
The first step in joining the Keystroke POS Dealer Program is to complete and
submit a Registered Dealer Application (with supporting documents). Applications are
available by calling SBS at (800)359-3458 and requesting a Dealer Information
Package. Requests can also be emailed to SBS at
or by completing the Information Request Form. A PDF version is available for download in the Dealer Area. The application needs to be completed,
signed and either mailed to SBS at the address shown at the bottom of this page or faxed to (970)262-2387.
Please include supporting documents which verify the primary nature of your business, such as a
business license or reseller's permit.
Registered Dealer:
Approval of this application by SBS is the only requirement to become a Registered Dealer
and receive a 25% margin off List Price on Keystroke POS software. No minimum purchase
is required to attain the Registered Dealer level. However, lower prices and other benefits are available
to Dealers who purchase a Dealer Bundle.
When the Dealer Application is approved, the Dealership will be invited to purchase a
not-for-resale Dealer Bundle. View Dealer Bundle Description
Authorized Dealer:
The one-time purchase of a Dealer Bundle is required to attain the Authorized Dealer level,
which is intended for serious Dealers who expect to sell several Keystroke POS
systems per year. The benefits available to Authorized Dealers include: generous margins on
Keystroke software and Software Maintenance Service plans for resale, qualified sales leads,
and Dealer Dollars which can be used to acquire promotional materials (see Dealer Area for
details on Dealer Dollars). Dealer pricing ranges from 35% to 60% off List Price,
depending on the volume of Keystroke software purchased each year. Several annual
sales volume levels are available to allow you to increase your price margin. Credit Terms are
available upon satisfying the first sales volume level (upon approval).
Certified Installer:
Certified Installer is the highest rank or title a person can earn to represent a superior
level of expertise with the Keystroke POS system, specifically including a thorough knowledge of the
configuration and maintenance of MultiStore capabilities. Aside from the added marketability of the title,
the most important benefit to a Certified Installer and his or her employing dealership is the exclusive
privilege to approve and assist with the sale and installation of Keystroke POS MultiStore capabilities.
The Certified Installer title and associated benefits are available only to qualified individuals who have completed
a minimum of six successful system installations and received a passing score on the Certified Installer Exam.
Once the Certified Installer title has been earned, bi-annual attendance at the Keystroke POS Dealer
Summit is required to maintain the title thereafter.
Additional details about the Certified Installer title are available inside the Dealer Area. For further
questions regarding our products, pricing and/or these policies, please contact Specialized Business Solutions
at 800-359-3458.
Dealer Bundles provide everything needed to demonstrate, sell, and service Keystroke
POS systems. This includes the Keystrokebase system software 3-User license),
Custom Modules (GL-Link, Script Editor, Production, Importer, MultiStore, and Matrix Manager), numerous
supplemental utility programs (E-Commerce, EDI, etc.), comprehensive User Guide documentation, and the
Dealer-only tools Forms Editor and Database Screens Editor.
All products included in the Dealer Bundle are sold and licensed strictly for the purposes of
demonstration, customer service, and in-house use. Dealer Bundles may not be resold or
transferred, and may be used only in businesses whose primary function is the sale of computers,
cash registers, or related services.
The Forms Editor module is used to customize the layout and print format of all forms generated
by the Keystroke POS system. Editable forms include: Invoices, Sales Receipts,
Quotes, Purchase Orders, ROA Receipts, Paid Out Receipts, Store Transfers, Billing Statements,
Time Clock Receipts, and special forms for custom transaction types. This tool provides the
ability to modify the size and layout of forms to best fit each of your customer’s
specifications. Easily define which data fields will be printed, the relative position and
type style of each field, and various other format aspects. This is an important tool for
adding value for customers and increasing profits per installation.
The Database Screens Editor module is used to customize the screen template files that display
database records in the Keystroke system. Modifiable screens include:
Inventory, Customer, Contact, Vendor, Clerk, Department, Category and Location databases.
This tool provides the ability to modify the content and layout of data input screens.
Data fields can be repositioned for quicker access, renamed for alternate usage
(e.g., Inventory “ISBN” instead of “Code” for books), or completely
removed if unnecessary or to safeguard certain data from access by unauthorized users.
Unique screens can be defined for varying levels of user access (e.g., manager versus clerk).
